 Young At Art Workshop is a fresh approach to art making for children. An exploration of painting, collage, mobiles, printing, puppetry and clay is interwoven with singing, dramatic play and creative movement. The emphasis in our workshop is on “experiential” learning, in other words, the process of doing rather than on the end result. For example, children will experience “roundness” as they paint on a circle, mold a piece of clay into a ball, make themselves round and dance in a circle. In the workshop the children will explore art concepts and acquire art skills combined with self expression.
The class is conducted in a room free of furniture where the work space is the floor, enabling the children to move around their work, observing it from all sides, and allowing it to grow and develop in all directions.
This innovative program encourages creative energy to flow as the children experience the joy and fulfillment in being Young At Art.
