Mayor Peter Strauss welcomes Santa to Scarsdale

Annual tree lighting held Saturday, December 2, 2006 at 5:00pm

Mayor Peter Strauss was on hand to get the holiday spirit started as he lit the tree.  Santa arrived by antique fire truck, posed for pictures donated by the Photo Center, and handed out trinkets sponsored by Coldwell Banker Doernberg.

Following in the tradition of past years, toys and games for the Scarsdale Police and Scarsdale Fire Department's joint effort to support the annual Toys-for-Tots drive were collected.

LfStores, located at 5 Boniface Circle, served as a collection point for winter coats, hats and gloves for children in local homeless shelters.

A fun time was had by all!
